Fundraising, growing while fundraising, creating repeatable scalable processes for growth
Actions I’ve taken so far
Talked with many different mentors, have a team of people including a content strategist, social media expert, and two people for strategy, grown to 30 teachers / 150+ attendees per month / 2,500 app accounts.
My future goals
2k teachers and 100k members by end of 2021
Think a social version of "Airbnb for Events" - A healthy lifestyle and a supportive community is easy for anyone to access because wherever you travel, you can open the Good Elephant app and organically connect with teachers and fellow community members to create and experience personalized, affordable classes that fit your busy schedule and your unique needs and interests. As a teacher, you can build your schedule and earn a living by claiming exciting new opportunities every day, enjoying the conviction of teaching full classes that are truly needed and requested by your attendees.
Our tagline is "Do what wakes you up!" because our goal is simply to create as many opportunities for those life-changing "aha!" moments as possible. We envision a world community discovering organic adventure together, and we're creating that new reality by harnessing the power of technology to fundamentally change the way people connect.
My motivations to work with a mentor
Need help focusing my energy while I'm fundraising, trying to grow the company, and covering for a team member on maternity leave.
About my venture
Good Elephant is an online platform that is helping real people “do what wakes you up!” by connecting teachers with local unused spaces and online tools so they can offer inclusive and affordable classes for their communities. We’ve been working with our early adopter market (yoga teachers and attendees) for the last two years, so we’re in a unique position to understand why they have trouble connecting, and how our mindful community welcomes other healthy lifestyle markets to grow organically on our platform. Our community powered platform uses data to generate classes and events as opportunities for teachers, breaking inclusivity and affordability barriers and maximizing teachers’ earning potential.
